Montfort International was founded in 1995 and was the first UK based financial advisory firm to be established specifically to provide essential financial advice to migrants and – through our associate network – can guide you to proven Australian Financial advice for an individual’s emigration from the UK to Australia. Geraint Davies, the founder of Montfort International and the current Managing Director, started his career as Financial Adviser in 1982 in Perth Western Australia, specialising in Australian financial advice for UK emigrants.
In 1995, after Geraint returned to the UK, Montfort International was formed to establish the very first UK to Australia pension transfer service.
In May 2002, due to the unrivalled expertise in UK to Australia pension transfers, Montfort International was requested by the Australian Senate for its views on UK pension transfers to Australia. Montfort International has also been called, by Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs in March 2006, for its opinions on Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS).
Since Montfort was founded in 1995, a team of visa, pensions, financial and tax specialists has been built, in the UK, to give the best Australian emigration advice (as well as New Zealand advice) in these areas. In addition, Montfort International works alongside many associates in Australia and New Zealand, whose advice and knowledge is tailored towards emigration from the UK.
