History

Geraint Davies, the founder and current Managing Director of Montfort, started his career as a Financial Advisor in 1982 in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in Australian financial advice for UK emigrants.

In 1995, after Geraint returned to the UK, Montfort International was formed to establish the very first UK to Australia pension transfer solution and bespoke product for those moving or had moved to Australia from the UK. 

In May 2002, due to the unrivalled expertise in UK to Australia pension transfers, Montfort International was requested by the Australian Senate for its views on UK pension transfers to Australia and was also called by Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs in March 2006 for its opinions on Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS). 

Montfort was the first UK based financial advisory firm to be established specifically to provide essential financial planning to migrants. Through our associate network, we can now guide you through proven holistic advice for global emigration from (and to) the UK to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, Canada and the USA.

The three pairs of eyes approach ensures a working environment that is conducive to learning and development for all members of the team.

Any person joining Montfort as an advisor or progressing to become an advisor will receive a bank of clients to service.

Advisors will not be expected to source their own prospects as we have a PR & Marketing plan where we receive a constant flow of high net worth enquiries.

Montfort provides study support by means of financial and moral support as well as a bonus scheme on successful exam passes.

Montfort has a time off to study policy and excellent in-house cross training.

All members of staff have quarterly appraisals.
